IndiGo’s B777 Lease Agreement Will Not Be Renewed

• Under the cooperation agreement between Turkey’s flag carrier Turkish Airlines and India’s low-cost airline IndiGo, the two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that have been operated on lease since 2023 will see their lease agreements expire as of March 2026.

• According to Indian media, the Indian government has formally notified IndiGo that the agreement will not be extended, and that once the lease period ends, the aircraft must be returned to Turkey.

• Three Boeing 777-300ER aircraft belonging to Turkish Airlines are currently being used on a rotational basis on behalf of IndiGo, operating flights between Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul.
